Hey Remember When the Twins Traded J.J. Hardy?

Bill Smith was relieved of his General Managerness this afternoon by the Minnesota Twins. I’m going to say it was a good call. That’s my professional opinion right there, feel free to site me as a source in your next baseball argument/message board post/doctoral thesis. I’m not a Twins insider, nor a person with a lot of time this evening, so in lieu of any real analysis or retrospective, I will instead simply offer you this as to why maybe Bill Smith wasn’t the best person to be in change of a Major League Baseball Team:
